An academic scholarship for survivors of human trafficking to gain financial assistance in the pursuit or completion of a degree or certification.
A monthly gathering of survivors of human trafficking who lead in their community.
We believe in community which is why we provide spiritual support through our partnership with Lower Lights.
2023 Impact
We awarded 10 survivors of human trafficking a total of $35,336 as they pursue dreams and degrees.
In August the Thrivers group enjoyed a retreat to Hocking Hills!
SHAN launched Thriver’s Social Gatherings, a space for survivors of human trafficking in advanced recovery to gather and build healthy community.
Dream Big | Since our academic scholarship's inception in 2018 we have supported 16 survivors with over $93,000 in scholarships. However, in Fall 2023 alone we received 8 applicants with over $40,000 in requests. You can see that the need for this investment is growing exponentially. For the first time we had to say “no” to deserving applicants due to funding limitations. Will you join us and send more survivors through school in 2024?
