She Has A Name is a trusted educational partner in the central Ohio anti-human trafficking ecosystem. We accomplished a major goal in September 2021 when we launched our first online curriculum. This course takes our proven live training content and adapts it to be accessible anytime and anywhere. Our goal is to reach those who are vulnerable right where exploitation is rampant: on the internet. This program is made possible thanks to partnerships with the Harry C Moores Foundation and Xcelerate Media.
Who:
There are two tracks available: youth and adult. The youth track is appropriate for children ages 10-17 years old.

What’s included in the course?
The Adult Track includes all the content covered in our live Anti-Human Trafficking Training: An introduction to human trafficking, a look at sex trafficking and labor trafficking, and the effects of trauma.
The Student Track revises the adult track information to ensure it is age-appropriate for 10-17 year olds. This includes a course on healthy versus abusive relationships and another on online safety, two precursors for exploitation. It also includes sections on sex trafficking and labor trafficking that have been developed by student education professionals to present the information in a way that empowers kids to recognize signs of exploitation in their own lives or the lives of those around them.

332 community members accessed the content over the course of the year. Our partner agencies and learners employers were the top referral sources for those accessing the course.
Dream Big | Many parents and educators ask what we are doing for youth, but it is challenging to actually get this course in front of those who need it most: vulnerable teens ages 10-17. We hope to equip more caregivers to utilize this tool as they empower kids to avoid exploitation and meaningfully join the cause.
