She Has A Name administers Columbus’ Solicitor Education Program (formerly The John School). This one day course is designed for first-time offenders charged with M1 2907.231 Engaging in Prostitution as part of their sentencing. We serve in this space as an organization outside of law enforcement or the criminal legal system. You can read more about Columbus’ response to solicitation through this 10TV story.
We facilitate this program in realizing our vision to see all those impacted by human trafficking and compulsory sex work restored into society, thriving in the workplace, and welcomed in the community. We realize that many solicitors may struggle with other issues or a history of trauma that lead them to arrest, and offer this class as a means of connecting those in need with further resources.

What is expected of me as a class participant?
There is no requirement to participate other than being physically present and attentive for the entire day. Personal cell phone use is discouraged except during breaks. We encourage participants to come with an open mind and a willingness to participate in discussion through asking questions or providing answers to questions presented by each speaker. Dream Big | Other municipalities across the U.S. are interested in bringing our Solicitor Education Program to their communities. We look forward to creating a workbook, facilitator guide, and video content to share our best practices across the country.
We are excited to launch our Sex Trafficking Demand Reduction course - a curriculum developed by men and meant for male-centric spaces. We hope these efforts reduce the amount of people viewing pornography or purchasing sex, thus reducing the amount of people exploited for sex work.
