We act as a resource to all those impacted by human trafficking by providing support groups for survivors, thrivers, and solicitors. We believe in coming alongside survivors in their pursuit of success; whether that’s higher education or a dream.

Courtney Schmackers

Executive Director

As executive director Courtney is responsible for implementing the mission and vision of She Has A Name. Her favorite part of her job is training individuals and organizations in understanding the cause and discovering how they can join in unique and meaningful ways. Courtney graduated summa cum laude from Capital University with a degree in Communications, Spanish, and Journalism. She enjoys drinking tea, baking bread, and hiking. 

Justyna Coppus

Marketing & Communications Manager

As the Marketing and Communications Manager, Justyna she excited to be bringing awareness to SHAN, connecting people, and helping with resources and education in human trafficking. She graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with a Masters in the Science of Marketing and Bachelors in English. After building a career working in publishing and non-profit work, Justyna has continued to pursue opportunities to help others on a deeper level and dive into community. She loves traveling the world and taking dance classes with her husband, walking her Shiba Inu pup Yurei, reading a good book (preferably a children's book!), drinking tea in a coffee shop, and spending time outdoors in nature running, biking, and kayaking!

Kelsey Ireland

Development Director

As the Development Director, Kelsey is focused on fundraiser event production, grant writing, and donor relationships. What excites her about her role is raising awareness regarding human trafficking throughout our community. She believes the best way to go about life is to be curious and understand we all have our own hardships and journey. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and her family. She loves nature and enjoys a nice hike or relaxing swim.

Jennifer Taylor

Director of People & Programs

Jennifer has been involved in the Columbus area human trafficking awareness community since 2018.  For SHAN, she coordinates our many volunteers and works with our partner organizations to ensure SHAN is being supportive of this important community.  Jennifer is a graduate of the Ohio State University and has an extensive career in human resource management.  Jennifer and her husband have 3 children and a sweet pup, Eddie.  She loves farmer’s markets, craft shows, and the Columbus food scene.
