Gather resources. Equip Teams. send advocates.
This is an un-conference: Prepare to wrestle with challenging questions and connect with neighbors who are equally curious about how to respond to human trafficking. We gather everything we’ve learned about human trafficking in one place for you to steep yourself in up-to-date information.
The day will start with She Has A Name’s Human Trafficking 101 Training. We invite our partners to share resources plus ways to get involved. There are specialty courses and discussions around a variety of topics intersecting with human trafficking.

Day of Learning FAQs
Is there a prerequisite to attend this training?
No, we offer this course with the assumption that participants have received no formal training about human trafficking prior to attending.
Is there a fee to attend the Day of Learning?
This training is currently free. We encourage registrants to consider making a $10 donation to She Has A Name (SHAN). This investment goes towards the fair compensation for survivor input and staff time that is invested in creating a evidence-based and trauma-informed training program.
Can I receive continuing education credit for participating?
Social workers, counselors, and therapists can earn 2 Continuing Education (CE) hours by attending Day of Learning. She Has A Name's Human Trafficking 101 (which starts the day) is approved for social work CEUs through NASW Ohio Chapter, an approved organization through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, & Marriage and Family Therapist Board.
Our Ht 101 is also accredited for 2 Continual Legal Education (CLE) credits through the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education.
Looking for another type of credit? Let us know what you need and we look forward to working with you to get approved!
Will this event be recorded?
No. This event is primarily a live, in-person experience. We do not record breakout sessions due to the collaborative and sensitive nature of the session content. We will offer a virtual option ONLY for the Human Trafficking 101 training portion of the day.
Is there a virtual option for me to attend from outside the central Ohio area?
We will offer a virtual option ONLY for the Human Trafficking 101 training portion of the day.
How often is this training offered?
The Day of Learning is only offered once per year in the fall. This includes a robust selection of workshops, panel discussion, and training sessions designed to foster a deeper understanding of the nuanced topic of human trafficking. We typically offer a live Human Trafficking 101 session 2-3 times per year. You can explore our Human Trafficking 101 content on-demand through our Online Learning Platform, found at shehasaname.org/olp.
Is there available parking?
Yes, there is free surface lot parking available directly in front of the venue. It is also located near COTA stop 5295. Please be aware of general road construction on E Broad Street in front of the venue. We will keep guests updated with any changes to building entrances that may be affected by the construction.
Is a meal provided during this event?
Yes! Lunch and snacks will be available on-site during this event.
Will child care be available?
No, at this time we are not able to offer dedicated child care for this event. However, the content will be appropriate and we will have activities specifically for kids ages 10-17. We encourage parents to consider learning with their children as this issue primarily affects teens.
