She Has A Name receives dozens of requests each year to lead trainings. There are still many people who are unaware of the issue of human trafficking, or who hold misconceptions about what it is and where it happens. SHAN Trainers play a key role in preventing human trafficking from ever happening, and in equipping learners with meaningful ways that they can respond to this complex issue. Due to the limitations of our staff team, we are sometimes unable to answer every request unless a volunteer like you is able to be present. These happen in a variety of settings from intimate 10 person community group meetings to large corporation employee professional development.

Consider joining SHAN’s Training Team if you:

  • Enjoy public speaking

  • Feel comfortable in front of a group

  • Are interested in learning more about this complex issue

This is an excellent way for people regardless of gender to create meaningful change through prevention and awareness.

Training Team preparation: 

  1. Attend She Has A Name’s Anti-Human Trafficking Training or complete our Online Learning Platform.

  2. Shadow a SHAN staff member leading a training

  3. Lead a training while a SHAN staff member observes

  4. Independently lead trainings in the community

She Has A Name will provide you with the appropriate slide deck and participant handout for each training. You will work closely with the Executive Director to prepare for each engagement.

SHAN trainers are welcome and encouraged to use SHAN’s materials to present to spaces within their own social, professional, or spiritual circles.
