No Buyer = No Victim = No Sex Trafficking
At its core, sex trafficking is fueled by the basic principle of supply and demand. Traffickers make enormous profits by selling vulnerable human beings for sex (this is the ‘supply’). They can do this because there are willing buyers seeking to pay for sex (this is the ‘demand’). If fewer people purchased sex acts, viewed pornography, subscribed to live sex cams or engaged in promoting the commercial sex world altogether, fewer people would be trafficked for sex.
Join She Has a Name on Tuesday, August 19 at 6:30 pm to watch Truckers Against Trafficking's (TAT) Addressing Demand video and participate in a cultural conversation around the topic of addressing the demand for commercial sex and what we can do about it.
We recommend all participants consider completing our Human Trafficking 101 training before joining this conversation. This can be done through a live virtual session on August 5th, or anytime through our Online Learning Platform.
