Stories against Slavery features local artists and advocates who have one common goal — using their skills to fight modern slavery. At this event, you can:
• Buy a new book by author Christopher Stollar, who just released The Black Lens — a dark literary thriller that exposes the underbelly of sex trafficking in rural America
• Hear the personal story of Jennifer Kempton, a trafficking survivor and founder of Survivor's Ink — a nonprofit organization that uses tattoo art to replace slavery brands
• Taste high-quality food provided by Freedom a la Cart, a nonprofit that employs survivors of trafficking
• Browse unique art inspired by anti-trafficking themes and created by central Ohio artists, including XOWolf Studio, Linda Regula, Butterfly's Art, and many more!
This event will take place at The Narrows, a new community resource center in Zanesville for artists and entrepreneurs. We have limited seating and pizza from Weasel Boy Brewing, so RSVP today on the Facebook page!
