The purpose of our internships is to develop leaders in character, conviction and competency. Internships at She Has A Name are designed to not only benefit the community but also to make a lasting impact in the lives of every intern. We prefer internships spanning the academic calendar (August-May) and offer three tracks.
Typically in partnership with a local college or university, this internship track offers academic credit to participants wanting to serve within the abolition community. This role is ideal for those pursuing a future in social work and works closely with the Program Director to manage logistics behind our Strategies for Success program. Intern must have a flexible schedule and personal transportation.
Typically in partnership with a local college or university, this internship track offers academic credit to participants wanting to serve within the abolition community. This role works closely with the Community Engagement Director to learn event planning, volunteer coordinating, and communications within an anti-human trafficking nonprofit. Intern must have a flexible schedule and weekend availability.
Typically, 10-12 weeks, this internship focuses largely on the "behind the scenes" of nonprofit work. Intern will gain administrative skills as they invest in the Columbus abolition community.
